Hillsboro police
Nov. 25: Officers responded to a commercial alarm in the 100 block of North Ash Street. A burglary was reported in the 100 block of South Ash Street; person said someone had entered an unlocked building and removed several items.
Nov. 26: A person was arrested for driving with a suspended license.
Nov. 27: Officers assisted the Department of Children and Families with a welfare concern in the 900 block of East D Street; two children were ordered to be temporarily removed from the residence.
Nov. 28: Officers assisted Marion County Sheriff with a phone scam. A welfare check was performed at a Hillsboro residence; five children were taken into police protective custody. A report of an attempted Medicare fraud scam in the 600 block of West Grand Avenue. Officers assisted with McPherson authorities with a hit-and-run accident.
Nov. 29: A burglary was reported in the 200 block of North Ash Street; suspects entered a building and removed two fire extinguishers. A person reported concerns regarding a possible protection from abuse violation in the 700 block of West Grand Ave.
Nov. 30: A theft was reported in the 100 block of South Main Street; a person reported a vendor removed items and cash from a vending machine they did not own. Officers assisted a person in the 700 block of West Grand Avenue with a protection from abuse order
Dec. 1: A person reported a fraudulent use of his social security number.
Dec. 4: A telephone harassment complaint was reported in the 900 block of East C Street.
Dec. 5: A child welfare check was conducted in Hillsboro Heights; a person left several small children unattended in cold vehicles with doors left open. A gray truck was reported revving its motor and driving at a high rate of speed in the 100 block of North Cedar Street.
Dec. 6: Door-to-Door sales people were reported operating without a permit.
Dec. 8: A child custody dispute was reported in the 100 block of South Ash Street.
