July 1: Officers responded to several false alarms on Briarwood Lane. Officers assisted Newton Police Department in locating a suicidal subject.

July 3: Officers assisted the electric department with shutting off utilities in the 700 block of West Grand Avenue. Officers assisted with an unkempt property complaint in the 300 block of South Main Street.

July 4: A domestic disturbance was reported in the 500 block of East First Street; charges are pending against a Hillsboro woman.

July 5: A small fire was reported in the 200 block of South Elm Street; it is believed to have started with fireworks.

July 6: A person reported that someone had stolen her debit card and used it. Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated subject at Hillsboro swimming pool; two subjects were removed from the premises.

July 8: A possible drunk driver was reported on Indigo Road. A reckless driver was reported at U.S. 56 and Industrial Road.

July 10: A damage complaint was reported in the 700 block of West Grand Avenue; a landlord reported that tenants had left the residence in filthy condition when they moved. Officers assisted a subject with questions about a possible fraud.

July 11: Officers performed a civil stand-by for a child exchange in the 400 block of South Main Street. Officers assisted Marion Police Department with a burglary in progress complaint.
