May 1: A person was fingerprinted for employment. A motorist was assisted. A person reported vandalism to three of his vehicles in the 300 block of North Washington Street; someone used a bb gun to damage the windshields on three vehicles at the same address; damage was estimated at $1,400. A theft complaint was filed in the 300 block of West D Street; the person reported the theft of prescription medication. An animal welfare check was performed. Suspicious activity was checked in the 100 block of South Main Street. A person reported that someone may have entered his residence in the 300 block of West Third Street; nothing was missing and there were no signs of forced entry.
May 2: A suspicious person was reported in Hillsboro Heights. A subject reported the theft of an iPod from Hillsboro High School. An officer instructed a DARE class at HES. A curfew violation was reported in Central Park.
Thursday: Officers assisted a person with moving a structure across town. A dog complaint in the 400 block of South Date was checked. Officers assisted Kansas Highway Patrol with a vehicle accident on U.S. 56. HES reported damage wrought by a student. A parking complaint was checked. A domestic disturbance was mediated in the 300 block of South Birch Street; a child and adult were arguing.
Friday: A civil stand-by was performed in the industrial park. An officer delivered a message. A non-injury accident was reported in the 600 block of North Ash Street. An unattended fire was reported in the 300 block of East C Street.
Saturday: A motorist was assisted. A missing person report was filed in the 600 block of South Lincoln Street. A noise complaint was filed in the 200 block of South Jefferson Street.
