June 12: A motorist received assistance in the 400 block of North Ash Street. Assistance was provided with a near drowning incident at the Hillsboro Family Aquatic Center. An officer worked on equipment at the weather watch station.

June 13: A non-injury vehicle accident was reported in the 300 block of North Ash Street. A landlord and tenant dispute was reported in the 400 block of West Grand Avenue. A civil stand-by was provided in the 400 block of West Grand Avenue. A 911 disconnect at Tabor College was checked. A traffic complaint was checked in the 100 block of North Adams Street.

June 14: A 911 disconnect was checked in the 300 block of North Ash Street. An accident involving a pedestrian at Second and Ash streets was investigated. Assistance was provided with a peddler’s license. A dog complaint was checked in the 300 block of South Main Street. Suspicious activity was reported. Bicycles were registered at the police department. A sheriff’s deputy received assistance with a civil process.

June 15: A Marion subject was reported missing and last seen in Hillsboro; the individual was located. A dog complaint was reported at Cedar and B streets. Individuals were fingerprinted for employment purposes. Suspicious activities were checked at the swimming pool and in the 100 block of South Main Street.

June 16: Assistance with an investigation was provided to the sheriff. An officer destroyed several skunks in the industrial park. An injury vehicle accident was investigated in Orchard Drive. Officers attended racial and other biased-based policing training. A sheriff’s deputy received assistance with the investigation of a gunshot wound when an individual was treated at Hillsboro Community Hospital.

June 17: A sign was removed from a utility pole. Peabody police received assistance with a dog bite complaint at Hillsboro Community Hospital. A report was checked of an individual going door-to-door begging for money. A possible trespass complaint was reported in the 300 block of North Jefferson Street. A motorist received assistance in Hillsboro Heights. Officers assisted with a weather watch and with a domestic disturbance at Marion Reservoir. Patrolling increased during a power outage. A scout troop received assistance in locating a storm shelter. Officers assisted with removing storm debris from streets. Suspicious activity was checked in the 300 block of South Birch Street. A curfew violation was reported in Memorial Park.

June 18: Suspicious activity was checked in the 300 block of South Lincoln Street. A civil property dispute was reported in the 700 block of West Grand Avenue.

June 19: Lost property was returned to the owner.

June 20: A landlord and tenant dispute was reported in the 400 block of West Grand Avenue. An officer worked on weather watch equipment at the weather watch station. Assistance was provided to a sheriff’s deputy with a domestic disturbance in Lehigh.

June 21: An individual reported an adult that had physically assaulted a juvenile in the 200 block of North Lincoln Street. An individual was fingerprinted for employment purposes. Suspicious activity was checked in the 100 block of South Ash Street. A traffic complaint was reported in Hillsboro Heights.

June 22: A domestic disturbance reported in the 300 block of South Ash Street was determined to be a dispute between a female, her new boyfriend, and her former boyfriend. Officers attended safety training at city hall. A motorist received assistance west of Hillsboro.

Thursday: An officer found an unattended 3-year-old in the 100 block of South Birch Street. A civil stand-by was provided in the 300 block of West Third Street. A harassment complaint was reported in the 200 block of North Main Street.

Friday: Officers attended court appearances in Salina. Suspicious activity was checked in the 300 block of North Ash Street. A harassment complaint was filed in the 200 block of North Lincoln Street. Seized property was returned to an insurance company. City council packets were delivered. Juveniles were reportedly throwing water balloons at Tabor College. A noise complaint was checked at Tabor College. A sheriff’s deputy received assistance with a non-injury accident.

Saturday: Traffic control was provided for a Special Olympics motorcycle parade. An individual reported being threatened via text message by a former boyfriend.
