Police report

Feb. 6: A dog complaint was checked in the 600 block of South Main Street. Officers assisted utility workers with debris on power lines. A welfare concern was checked in the 100 block of North Birch Street.

Feb. 7: Two funeral escorts were provided. A criminal complaint was filed in the 100 block of North Jefferson Street, when an individual reported being threatened by acquaintances of a former girlfriend. A motorist received assistance in the 400 block of North Ash Street. A traffic complaint was checked in the 100 block of North Main Street. A water leak was reported in the 300 block of North Ash Street.

Feb. 8: McPherson County Court Services personnel received assistance. Assistance with transportation was provided to Hillsboro Community Hospital. A parking complaint was checked in the 300 block of South Ash Street. A traffic complaint was reported on Third Street. Several drivers received assistance when their vehicles became stuck in snow.

Feb. 9: Assistance was provided to drivers with vehicles stuck in the snow, including the driver of a semi. Hillsboro Community Hospital received assistance with an individual. A possible water leak was reported in the 300 block of North Cedar Street. Suspicious activity was checked in the 100 block of North Main Street. Assistance with transportation was provided to Hillsboro Community Hospital. Identity theft was reported in the 300 block of South Ash Street.

Thursday: A gas skip was reported in the 300 block of North Ash Street. An accident was reported at Hillsboro Elementary School. Court services personnel received assistance.

Friday: A stray cat was reported in a basement in the 100 block of North Birch Street. An attempted phone scam was investigated. A motorist received assistance in the 200 block of North Ash Street.

Saturday: City council packets were delivered. Parking complaints were checked in the 300 block of South Washington Street and at Date Street and Grand Avenue. A dog complaint was checked in the 300 block of North Madison Street.

Sunday: Individuals were reportedly throwing snowballs at vehicles in the 500 block of East D Street. A cat stuck in a pipe was removed in the 200 block of North Ash Street. Suspicious activity was checked in the 100 block of North Main Street.
