Hillsboro police submitted the following report:

Dec. 19: A dispute was reported between a landlord and a tenant. Kansas Highway Patrol received assistance for a vehicle stop. Assistance was provided to a motorist at Ash and D streets.

Dec. 20: A traffic complaint was checked in the 200 block of North Ash Street. A welfare check was provided in the 400 block of South Birch Street. A Union Pacific Railroad officer received assistance with an investigation. Assistance was provided to city personnel with liquor license applications. A landlord and tenant dispute was reported in the 300 block of North Ash Street. A suspicious person was reported at Main Street and Grand Avenue.

Dec. 21: Officers testified in court. A homeless person who had been transported to Hillsboro received assistance. An individual was fingerprinted for employment purposes. A dog complaint in the 200 block of South Cedar Street was checked. A complaint of individuals selling door-to-door without a permit was filed. A motorist received assistance at Hillsboro Heights. A possible stalking complaint was filed in the 400 block of South Birch Street. An individual was fingerprinted for employment purposes.

Dec. 22: Officers received safety training at city hall. A dog complaint was checked in the 100 block of North Birch Street. An individual was arrested and accused of driving on a revoked license.

Dec. 23: An individual reported someone had pointed a gun at him in the 400 block of West Grand Avenue, which was determined to be an air soft gun displayed by a juvenile. Assistance was provided to the sheriff’s department with two non-injury accidents. Officers assisted motorists because of icy road conditions.

Dec. 24: Assistance was provided with a vehicle accident west of Hillsboro. An activated commercial alarm in the 800 block of East Grand Avenue was checked.

Dec. 25: A sheriff’s deputy received assistance with the investigation of a possible child abuse complaint. A civil property dispute was reported in the 300 block of West Grand Avenue. A suspicious vehicle was checked in the 300 block of South Adams Street.

Dec. 26: Assistance was provided to a reported reckless driver complaint on U.S. 56. An armed subject was reported in a parking lot in the 600 block of South Ash Street, which was an individual in military clothing showing an air soft rifle.

Dec. 27: Officers recovered stolen property in the 300 block of South Ash Street. A dog complaint was checked in the 400 block of East Grand Avenue. Emergency medical services personnel received assistance in the 300 block of Floral Drive. A traffic complaint was checked in the 100 block of South Cedar Street.

Dec. 28: The highway patrol received assistance with an injury accident west of Hillsboro. A child custody dispute was reported in the 400 block of North Ash Street. Assistance was provided to a sheriff’s deputy in serving a search warrant. Officers testified in court.

Dec. 29: A court services officer received assistance with a home visit. A possible underage drinking party was reported in the 300 block of West Third Street.

Thursday: A traffic complaint was checked on South Ash Street. Officers targeted seat belt violations. A motorist received assistance at U.S. 56 and Kanza Road. A report was made of a juvenile on a bicycle possibly discharging a BB gun. A motorist received assistance at Ash and Orchard streets. Suspicious activity was checked in the 100 block of North Main Street. City council packets were delivered.

Friday: Suspicious activity was checked in the 500 block of North Adams Street. A fireworks complaint was reported in the 100 block of North Birch Street, which resulted in warnings issued to individuals for discharging fireworks on a street. Assistance was provided with the annual “Frostbite Run.” A dispute between neighbors was reported in the 300 block of North Lincoln Street. The highway patrol received assistance with a vehicle search.
