Police report

Sept. 19: Misuse of a financial card was reported in the 200 block of North Ash Street. A residential lock-out occurred in the 200 block of South Birch Street. Emergency Medical Services personnel received assistance with a call in the 900 block of East D Street. A deprivation of property complaint in the 200 block of North Main was a result of a vehicle being loaned to someone and then refusing to return it.

Sept. 20: A property dispute in the 200 block of North Ash Street was determined to be a civil matter. Assistance was provided in removing road debris. A civil stand-by was provided in the 400 block of South Ash Street. An individual reported finding drug paraphernalia in a vacant house in the 400 block of West Grand Avenue. Social and Rehabilitation Services received assistance with a child welfare check in the 500 block of South Adams Street.

Sept. 21: A camper hookup was provided in Memorial Park. Iola Police Department received assistance with an investigation. A property dispute in the 300 block of North Cedar Street was determined to be a civil matter. Assistance was provided to Wichita and Peabody police departments with separate investigations. Curfew violations were reported in Memorial Park.

Sept. 22: The city electric department received assistance in the 300 block of East Grand Avenue. A bicycle was reported missing in the 300 block of North Birch Street and later was recovered and returned to the owner. Officers registered six bicycles at the police department.

Thursday: A peddler’s permit was issued. A missing person was located. A violation of a protection from abuse order was reported in the 500 block of West Grand Avenue.

Friday: Suspicious vehicles were reported in the 400 block of South Main Street and at Hillsboro Heights. Three minors in the 200 block of North Ash Street were checked for alcohol consumption.

Saturday: An adult male was arrested on outstanding warrants. A dog complaint in the 300 block of South Ash Street was checked. Suspicious peopled were checked at Hillsboro Heights. A parking complaint was reported in the 400 block of South Adams Street.
