Hett, Bliss united in marriage

Jeremy Hett of Marion and Kassidy Bliss of Halstead were married May 25 in an outdoor ceremony near his parents’ farm in rural Marion.

Don and Dawn Hett are Jeremy’s parents. Dan Bliss of Bentley and Robin Bliss of Halstead are Kassidy’s parents.

Jerry and Rowena Plett of Lincolnville, grandparents of the groom, were honored guests.

Matt Ehlers, uncle of the groom and minister of Olive Hill Church in rural Superior, Nebraska, performed the double-ring ceremony.

An instrumental-vocal duo of Kevin Fruechting and Rodney Just, both of Marion, provided special music.

The bride was given away by her mother and father.

MeKenzee Remmers of Marion was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Sarah Drown, California; Alli Molleker, Marion; Amanda Peterson, Oklahoma; Samantha Huebert, Halstead; and Alli Hett, Marion, sister of the groom.

Quinton Hett, brother of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Kenton Bliss, Halstead, brother of the bride; Cade Harms, Lincolnville; Garrett Alleven, Marion, cousin of the groom; Noah Albin, Marion; and Tyler Palic, Marion.

Emily Hague of Marion and Adelle Runnebaum of Halstead were guest book attendants.

Jenaya Plett, Lincolnville, niece of the groom, and Theresa and Abigael Ochwefi, cousins of the bride, were flower girls and attendants.

Brogan Plett, Lincolnville, nephew of the groom, was the ring bearer.

A reception was at the Hett farm.

The couple spent their honeymoon at Whitefish, Montana. They live in Halstead and will make their home in Stillwater, Oklahoma, in August.

The groom is a graduate of Marion High School and North Central Kansas Technical College in Beloit and Hays. He is employed at Bradbury Company in Moundridge.

The bride is a graduate of Halstead High School and will be a senior this fall at Oklahoma State University. She is employed at USDA Rural Development in Newton.
