Henrietta “Hanky” Thomas, 82, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015.
Hanky was born April 1, 1933, to Frank and Agnes Steiner in Durham, Kansas, one of 14 children. She attended nursing school at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita and worked there for over 30 years.
She married Joseph Thomas Sr. in 1954, and they were blessed with four sons. They were married 55 years, until his death in 2009.
During her life she enjoyed camping, fishing, needlework, quilting, and spending time with her family.
Hanky was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joe, and their son, Bradley.
Those left to cherish her memory are sons Mike (Marilynn), Tom (Deidra), and Daryl (Susan); grandchildren, Monica, Zach, Clarissa, Trey, Travis, Sydney, and Cole; and great-grandchildren Drake and Eve. Visitation was Tuesday, Nov. 24, and funeral services were Wednesday, Nov. 25, both at Resthaven Mortuary.
A memorial has been established at Hope Community Church, 1831 E. 21st St, Andover KS 67002.
