Grant to improve story time

Peabody residents and library goers may soon be the benefactors of a new service at Peabody Township Library.

The library recently received a $250 grant from Peabody Community Foundation that will help with purchasing cameras for filming story time events.

The library plans to purchase a digital camera so children can watch on social media and a mounted camera to enlarge pages for people who are spaced out in a large room.

Peabody Senior Center is receiving a $2,500 grant that will help compensate for not making peppernuts this year. The center usually sells peppernuts to help pay utility bills, but board members decided not to this year because of COVID-19.
