Taryn Coon won the Peabody-Burns Elementary School spelling bee after 13 rounds and nearly 1 hour, 30 minutes.

She edged out Blake Percival by correctly spelling “behavior.” As the top two, Taryn and Blake will represent Peabody-Burns in the county bee at 10 a.m. Feb. 5 in Marion. Kwenton Harms placed third.
