Goessel Harvest Festival offers food, fun, race, and golfing

Goessel Harvest Festival will be Saturday at Goessel.

The first annual Harvest Festival 5k Run/Jog/Walk will begin at 8 a.m. For more information, contact Joe Wuest at (620) 367-8500 or

A golf tournament at Pine Edge Golf Course, one mile north of Goessel on K-15 and one and one-half miles east on 130th Road, will benefit Fred and Brenda Schmidt.

A two-person scramble with a shotgun start will begin at 10 a.m. The cost is $25 per person which includes a noon meal. To register a team, call (620) 367-2664 or Prizes will be awarded.

The day will be capped with food and a street dance in front of Main Street Station. Food will be available from various vendors beginning at 5 p.m. “Justus Band” will perform classic country and music from the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s beginning at 6 p.m. For more information contact Goertzen or visit
