Services for farmer and stockman Glenn Carlson, 70, of Burdick, who died Aug. 14 at Herington Municipal Hospital, were Saturday at Hebron Lutheran Church, with burial following at the church cemetery.

Born March 14, 1947, to Harold R. and Vera (Meier) Carlson at Herington, he was a 1965 graduate of Centre High School and obtained a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. He married Sandy Vinduska on July 19, 1969, in Pilsen.

In addition to being on various church and community boards, Carlson was a former volunteer firefighter and fire chief.

Survivors include his wife, Sandy, of the home; daughters Angelica Stika and Katherine Carlson, both of Burdick; sons Justin Carlson of Council Grove and Andrew Carlson of Burdick; sister Shirley Ann Parrish of Anchorage, Alaska; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial has been established for Hebron Lutheran Church.
