Girls' offense struggles in losses

Little River led the Peabody-Burns Lady Warriors 11-2 at the end of the first quarter on Feb. 18. Christa Elliott had the only basket for the PBHS squad.

Rylie McDowell added the only points in the second quarter for the Lady Warriors with a 2-point basket. Little River added 11 and led 22-4 at halftime.

The scoring drought continued in the second half with no points for PBHS in the third and 5 in the final period. Elliott had a trey and Katy Benson had a 2-point basket. The Lady Warriors lost 38-9.

Scoring

Elliott, 5; McDowell, 2; and Benson, 2.

Moundridge

On Friday, Moundridge took a big first-quarter lead, 17-6. Benson led PBHS with 4 and Brianna Larsen added a 2-point basket.

The Wildcats outscored the home team 13-5 in the second. McDowell got on the board with a three-point basket. Larsen added a 2. The Lady Warriors trailed 30-11 at halftime.

Wildcat offense put in 15 in the third. Benson and Jordan Gibson each had 2 in the quarter for the Lady Warriors. PBHS was down 45-15 at the end of the period.

A basket from Benson was all of the offense for PBHS in the final quarter. Moundridge added 3 and defeated PBHS 48-17.
