Boy’s game to be rescheduled

News editor

Lack of scoring in the second and fourth quarters led to a 49-6 loss for the Peabody-Burns girls’ basketball team Friday night.

After a runaway 38 points in the first half for Herington, the Warrior defense slowed the Railroaders scoring in the second half, allowing only 11 points.

Scoring summary — Sydney Hodges, 2; Mya Winter, 2; Sarah Spencer, 2.

The boy’s game was postponed to a later date due to weather conditions.

Both teams were in play Tuesday at the Cougar Classic in Centre. The girls lost to Centre 63-24, after trailing 38-15 at the half. I was the second-most points they score in a game game this season. The boys also played the Cougars, losing 54-28, which dropped them to 1-9.
