Girl Scouts trick-or-treat for food

The Peabody-Burns Girl Scouts will be trick-or-treating for food Nov. 1.

Troop members will be collecting non-perishable food items door-to-door for the Peabody Community Food Bank during the afternoon and early evening.

Girl Scouts will be dressed in Halloween costumes or Girl Scout uniforms.

The following items are requested: canned fruit and vegetables, peanut butter, jelly, canned tuna and chicken, cereal, canned tomatoes, spaghetti noodles and sauce, Hamburger and Tuna Helper, crackers, soups, toothpaste and toothbrushes, dish soap, baby wipes, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, laundry soap, household paper items.

If you won’t be home that day and wish to donate, leave items clearly visible on the front porch and they will be collected.
