Georgie Ann Schmidt, 82, died Friday at Asbury Park in Newton. She was born Dec. 18, 1931, at Hillsboro to John LW and Marie (Ewert) Regier.

A graveside service was to be held Tuesday at Prairie Lawn Cemetery at Peabody. Baker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She married Allen R. Schmidt on June 5, 1949. He died in 1977.

Survivors include three sons, Larry Schmidt of Newton, Kevin Schmidt of Sedgwick, and Rex Schmidt of Newton; one daughter, Deb Winter of Peabody; one sister, Eulalia Flaming; 6 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen; one brother, James; and one sister, Vernetta.

Memorials may be sent to Rescare or Asbury Park, both in Newton.
