The annual citywide garage sale will be April 27. Flyers advertising the event are pinned to local bulletin boards and entry forms to list a garage sale are available at the city building, Peabody State Bank, and Peabody Hardware and Lumber.
The event will take place the Saturday preceding citywide cleanup week to make it convenient for residents to haul garage sale leftovers to the curb for pickup.
The cost to be listed on the garage sale map is the same as in previous years — $10. The map listing will include the seller’s name, address, and a short list of items to be sold (25 words or less).
The map will be included in the Peabody Gazette-Bulletin, the Marion County Record, and the Hillsboro Star-Journal. In addition, a small ad will run in the Newton Kansan and the Wichita Eagle.
Maps also will be available downtown and at participating sales. Pick up an entry blank and return the form and registration fee to the city building by 5 p.m. April 19 or mail it to Peabody Gazette-Bulletin, P.O. Box 129, Peabody, KS 66866. For more information, call (888) 382-2165.
