Frances Helmer

Frances Naomi Helmer, 91, died May 10 in Hillsboro.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church in Hillsboro.

She was born Feb. 1, 1924, to Howard and Mildred (Childs) Richmond at Marion. She married Harry Helmer in Wichita, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include: son, Larry Helmer of Hillsboro; daughters, Karen Sklenar of Hillsboro, Diana Dodd of Hillsboro, Debra Kaufman of Durham, and Shelley Schaede of Owasso, Oklahoma; brother, Kent Richmond of Marion; sister, Marilyn Morris of Elk City, Oklahoma; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials are requested for Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice or Zion Lutheran Church in care of Jost Funeral Home.
