Former teacher charged with violating a restraining order
Peabody man convicted of sexually exploiting a child a year and a half ago

A former Peabody-Burns teacher convicted a year and a half ago of two counts of sexual exploitation of a child was charged Monday with violation of a restraining order and criminal trespass.
County attorney Joel Ensey said the Dec. 11 incident from which charges against Christopher R. Young, 47, Peabody, arose took place in Peabody, but the victim was not one of the victims of the earlier offenses.
According to the complaint filed in court, Young violated a restraining order and refused to leave the premises despite having been personally served with a court order not to be there.
Young was charged two years ago with eight counts of sexual exploitation of a child and unlawful sexual relations. He pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual exploitation of a child. The other six counts were dismissed.
He was later sentenced to three years’ community corrections and 60 days in jail. The judge warned him that if he did not abide by the orders of his community corrections officer he could serve as long as six years in prison.
