Forensics students qualify for state
Several Peabody-Burns High School forensics students performed well enough in the regional forensics meet Saturday at Clearwater High School that they qualified for state forensics in May.
Team members earning first division medals and qualifying for state were Sarah Hofkamp, original oration; Martin Hofkamp, humorous solo acting; Traylee Woodruff, humorous solo acting; Chandra Rippe and Jenipher Huls, duet acting; and Martin Hofkamp and Woodruff, improvised duet acting.
Rippe and Huls earned a second division certificate in improvised duet acting, as did Paige Lewis and Sarah Hofkamp.
State competition will be May 1 at Wichita East High School.
