Food commodities to arrive in Marion County

USDA food commodities will arrive at senior centers in Marion County Thursday.

Marion Senior Center will begin distributing from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Other days of distribution will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Each site will distribute food according to their own schedule and may not distribute on the same day. Patrons should check with their local site to confirm distribution schedules.

Food is available to people who are income eligible and should be picked up from your local distribution site.

If there is no food left at your site, please call Marion County Department on Aging at (620) 382-3580 to find out where commodities are still available.
