Mist an option for vaccine
Marion County Health Department will begin giving flu vaccines Oct. 5, administrator Diedre Serene said Monday.
The vaccine will be available 9 a.m. to noon and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. every Wednesday.
The department is also scheduling clinics throughout the county. Only two had been finalized as of Monday.
Vaccinations will be available from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 13 at the ambulance building in Florence and 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 25 at Peabody-Burns Elementary School.
The department has the vaccine as a shot and as a mist. The flu shot costs $30. The nasal mist costs $35.
