Florence’s annual Spring Fling is scheduled for Sunday, April 28. All events will be held in Grandview Park. In case of inclement weather the event will be relocated in the Florence gym.

Kids’ games begin at 3 p.m. featuring horse rides and a petting zoo. The Florence Fire Department is sponsoring water games for children of all ages.

Mountain Men also will have a tent site and activities in the park.

Chili cook-off competition will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. Results will be announced at 4:30 p.m. Entry forms available at Cottonwood Valley Bank and several other places in Florence or may be picked up at the Marion County Record in Marion.

A meal featuring a potato bar and all the fixings will be served at 5 p.m. Cost is by donation.

A cake auction will be at 5:30 p.m. followed by a short musical program by Pastor Jeff Lee.
