First Mennonite senior fellowship meets

Burns correspondent

Sandy Sayers and Bruce Sayers and Megan were Oct. 23 dinner guests of Lawrence and Lois Sayers.

Renferd and Wanda Koehn and Lonnie had Nathan Koehn as their Oct. 23 dinner guest.

Attending the First Mennonite senior fellowship held at the home of Dan and Alice Stucky on Oct. 19 were Pastor Arlen and Mary Busenitz and Emily, Mike and Larry Spachek, Phyllis Mitchell, Esther Stucky, Howard Hess, Sadie Decker, Mary Langenegger, and Joyce Kyle.

Joyce Kyle attended the Marion County Senior Citizens annual celebration in Marion Oct. 20. Pastor Arlen Busenitz was the guest speaker.

Jim and Beulah Gehring of Moundridge, Mary Langenegger, and Joyce Kyle enjoyed supper Oct. 21 at the Burns Café. Joyce later went to the Peabody-Burns High School football game for senior night.

Joyce Kyle attended a baby shower for Anna Lynn Humig Oct. 22 at the home of her grandmother, Doytha Langenegger. Doytha and Emily Unruh hosted the shower.

Joyce Kyle accompanied Carol Callahan on Oct. 22 to Newton to join family and friends in celebrating Bert Zogelman’s 88th birthday..

Joyce Kyle visited Kathleen Brenzikofer at Kansas Christian Home in Newton.

Twentieth Century Club

The Twentieth Century Club met at the home of LaVonne Ammeter Monday afternoon. Members shared their “comings and goings” of the past month. A lot of “busy doing nothing” was shared. Several poems and articles were shared.

Ammeter served refreshments to a guest, Helen Logan, and members Norma Clark, Marie Clark, Shera Nightengale, Lois Sayers, and Joyce Kyle.
