FFA students to receive State FFA Degree

Two Peabody-Burns FFA members will receive their State FFA Degrees at the end of May. This degree requires having an exceptional supervised agricultural experience program, as well as completing an application for review.

Taylor Wallace is the daughter of Greg and Ashley Ballew and Heath Wallace. She has served as chapter vice president for two years and chapter president this year.

Her SAE is her job at Dillons, where she works in the floral department, taking customer orders, handling deliveries, and arranging floral orders.

She will graduate on Sunday and plans to attend Butler Community College, majoring in agricultural communications. She plans to transfer to Kansas State University after finishing at Butler.

Morgan Gaines is the daughter of Jarrod and Jennifer Gaines. She has served as chapter reporter, secretary, and vice president, and will serve as chapter president next year as a senior.

Morgan’s SAE is diversified livestock. She works for her parents’ goat and cattle operations. She travels the country showing her livestock and is building her own herd.

Morgan plans to major in pre-veterinary medicine after graduating next May.
