Farmers market will cut hours

Doyle Valley Farmers Market vendors will begin a shorter selling schedule each Saturday morning at their Santa Fe Park location in Peabody.

“Instead of being open from 8 a.m. until noon, the market will close at 10 a.m.,” said Marilyn Jones, president of the group. “If traffic picks up as more garden produce becomes available, we may decide to go back to the four-hour schedule.”

Vendors said their busiest time comes in the first two hours and they don’t have much business after 10 a.m.
