Farmers market to debut Saturday
Vendors with Doyle Valley Farmers Market will set up for the first market of the season from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday in Santa Fe Park.
Market president Debbie McSweeney said there will be some garden produce available despite the unseasonably cool weather of the past month.
“We always wish for bountiful produce displays for opening day,” she said. “Some years are just better than others.”
In addition to cool weather vegetables, vendors will have baked goods, homemade soaps and lotions, and other items for sale.
“We also are interested in recruiting more vendors,” McSweeney said.
Anyone interested in selling extra produce from the garden or handcrafted items, should contact McSweeney at (620) 983-9234 for more details.
