Fall grant cycle offers new funding source

Days are growing shorter, and so is the time for filing applications for grants from Peabody Community Foundation.

Application are due to the foundation by Oct. 14.

Grants promote community service and community projects or programs that enhance Peabody and its residents.

Amount requested and types of applications will determine the number of grants and the size of awards.

Grants are available from Peabody Endowment Fund and Kansas Health Fund. Applications for the latter must be for projects related to health.

Qualified applicants must possess a 501(c)(3) status under the IRS code, be exempt under this statute — an educational institution, church, city, or county — or be formally linked to an organization with this designation.

More information and an application may be found at centralkansascf.org under the “apply” tab.

Recipients will be announced at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 29 at “Winterfest-GiveNow|Peabody” at Peabody-Burns High School.  Representatives of recipient organizations are encouraged to be present to accept the award.

Questions may be directed to Becky Nickel, PCF adminstrative assistant at admin@peabodycommunity foundation.org or (620) 951-4022.

Peabody Community Foundation is an affiliate of Central Kansas Community Foundation.
