Erna E. Bisby, 90, of Herington, died Dec. 2 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.

She was born March 7, 1924, at Ramona to Reinhart and Emma (Kuether) Beisel.

The funeral service was Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Herington, with pastor Bill Peterson officiating. Burial followed at Sunset Hill Cemetery.

She was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. The 1942 graduate of Herington High School worked at Herington Chamber of Commerce, Fred Thompson Wholesale, and as office manager for Herington Municipal Hospital, from which she retired in 1975.

She married Harry “Buck” Bisby July 21, 1949.

Preceding her in death were her husband in 2007; three brothers, W. R. “Spike” Beisel, Clemens Beisel, and Andrew Beisel; and two sisters, Martha Davis and Edna Christner.
