Peabody-Burns High School junior Taylor Ensminger recently performed with the Kansas Music Educators Association 1-2-3-4A State Honor Band in Wichita.

Students who were selected to participate in District Honor Bands in December auditioned for the State Honor Band. Ensminger was one of eight French horn players selected.

Kansas Music Educators Association had its convention Feb. 25 through 27. During the convention, honor band students practiced extensively each day and presented a concert on the final afternoon as part of the conclusion of the KMEA In-Service Workshop.

Taylor is the daughter of Julia Ensminger and Kevin Ensminger of Peabody.
