March 9

12:39 a.m. — Hillsboro firefighters were called to a fire alarm at Tabor College dorms. No fire was found and the alarm was reset.

5:48 a.m. — A St. Luke Hospital patient was transferred to Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, by Marion ambulance.

11:11 a.m. — Hillsboro firefighters were called to the 300 block of Prairie Pointe, Hillsboro for a fire alarm. No fire or smoke was found and the alarm was reset.

12:54 p.m. — Marion firefighters were called to put out a control burn near US-56 and Pawnee Rd.

7:35 p.m. — Burns firefighters were called to several brush piles on fire near Clover, Arrow and 30th Rds.

March 10

7:56 a.m. — Hillsboro firefighters were called to a brush fire that rekindled near 190th and Holly Rds.

1:59 p.m. — Burns, Peabody, Marion and Florence firefighters were called to an out-of-control grass fire that had rekindled. Marion ambulance, Butler County, Chase County, Cottonwood Falls firefighters and part of Marion County Task Force were also on scene.

thursday

1:32 a.m. — Law enforcement officers request Marion ambulance to do a blood draw at the Marion County Jail.

12:25 p.m. — Marion firefighters were called to a possible fire in a pit in the 600 block of S. 4th St., Marion. The homeowner put out the fire.

12:31 p.m. — A 58-year-old woman who fell in the 500 block of S. Cedar St., Marion, refused to be taken to a hospital by Marion ambulance.

12:45 p.m. — Two elderly people who fell near 190th and Wagonwheel Rds., refused to be taken to a hospital by Hillsboro ambulance. Peabody ambulance was also paged but, was canceled.

1:17 p.m. — Burns firefighters were called to a tree that had rekindled near Clover and 30th Rds.

2:11 p.m. — Hillsboro firefighters were called to an out-of-control burn near 190th and Eagle Rds.

3:59 p.m. — Hillsboro firefighters were called to an out-of-control burn near Falcon and 190th Rds.

4:13 p.m. — Hillsboro, Goessel, Lehigh and Peabody firefighters were called to a shed on fire near 190th and Eagle Rds.

4:17 p.m. — Marion firefighters were called to the out-of-control burn near Falcon and 190th Rds. for Hillsboro firefighters who were responding to a structure fire.

4:25 p.m. — Lincolnville firefighters were called to a grass fire near 290th and Wagonwheel Rds.

4:48 p.m. — Ramona firefighters were called to a grass fire near 340th and Quail Creek Rds. Tampa firefighters were called for mutual aid.

4:55 p.m. — A 90-year-old woman who fell in the 700 block of S. Lincoln St., Hillsboro, was taken to HCH by Marion ambulance.

friday

2:01 a.m. — A 73-year-old man having a diabetic reaction near Bison Rd. and US-56, refused to be taken to a hospital by Hillsboro ambulance.

3:10 a.m. — Hillsboro firefighters were called to a tree on fire near Indigo and 170th Rds.

3:40 a.m. — An 80-year-old woman who fell in the 200 block of Wheat St., Goessel, was taken to Newton Medical Center by Hillsboro ambulance.

saturday

4:13 a.m. — Hillsboro, Marion and Durham firefighters and Hillsboro ambulance. were called to an alarm at Parkside Homes Assisted Living.

Sunday

8:30 p.m. — Law officers requested Marion ambulance to stage at Nighthawk Rd. and US-56, for a 70-year-old man who was involved in a fight and complaining of chest pains near Navajo and Nighthawk Rds. The man refused to be taken to a hospital by Marion ambulance.

10:30 p.m. — A resident who fell at Parkside Homes, Hillsboro, was taken to Newton Med by Hillsboro ambulance.

10:34 p.m. — A welfare check was done by Marion ambulance in the 800 block of N. Main St., Florence. The patient was deceased.

monday

12:26 a.m. — A HCH patient was transferred to Wesley Medical by Hillsboro ambulance.

11:45 a.m. — An 89-year-old man who passed out at near Eagle and 190th Rds., was taken to HCH by Hillsboro ambulance.

4:11 p.m. — Florence firefighters were called to general fire alarm in the 400 block of W. 6th St., Florence.

4:58 p.m. — Hillsboro firefighters were called to a grass fire near US-56 and Falcon Rd.
