SATURDAY

9:18 a.m. — A 43-year-old Peabody Health and Rehab staff member with chest pains and shortness of breath was taken to St. Francis by the crew of Marion ambulance aboard Peabody ambulance, which had responded with a single EMT as a first-response unit. Hillsboro firefighters and the county emergency medical director also responded to the accident.

Initial confusion about the location of the leak was attributed to dispatchers accidentally sending text messages to emergency workers stating that the leak was in Herington instead of Florence.
