Emergency dispatches
These radio dispatches to Marion County firefighters and emergency medical technicians were monitored by radio:
DEC. 20
8:27 a.m. — Hillsboro ambulance was dispatched to the 400 block of East First Street in Hillsboro for a boy who cut his fingers on a can. Nearly half an hour later, EMTs informed Hillsboro Community Hospital that the boy’s father would be transporting the boy to the hospital.
9:50 a.m. — Peabody EMTs were dispatched to Peabody Care Center for patient with respiratory problems. Firefighters also were dispatched to help lift the patient.
Dec. 21
11:34 a.m. — Hillsboro ambulance and Goessel first responders were summoned to the 900 block of North Goldenrod Road for an unconscious male subject in his 80s reported not to be breathing. Family of victim reportedly refused CPR with Goessel first responders. Hillsboro ambulance reports back at station at 1:17 p.m.
Dec. 22
1:07 a.m. — Marion ambulance responds to the 200 block of North Thorp Street to transport a male in his 50s with difficulty breathing to St. Luke Hospital. Marion fire department helped lift patient.
3:40 a.m. — Marion ambulance transferred a patient from St. Luke to St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.
6:53 a.m. — Marion and Peabody ambulances responds to 140th and Limestone Roads for car accident. The patient refused transport.
11:13 a.m. — Hillsboro ambulance transported a male in his 80s who had fallen to 700 block of South Lincoln Street to Hillsboro Community Hospital.
1:12 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance transferred a patient from Hillsboro Community to Newton Medical Center.
DEc. 23
12:07 a.m. — Tampa ambulance transported a patient with back pain from the 3200 block of North Vista Road for a subject with back pain to Herington Hospital.
7:39 a.m. — Florence and Marion ambulance transported a man after a car accident from a half mile south of U.S. 77 and 50 roundabout to St. Luke Hospital.
11:13 a.m. — Marion ambulance transported a for a female patient in her 80s with the flu from the 200 block of Eisenhower Drive to St. Luke Hospital by 11:42 a.m.
Dec. 24
9:18 a.m. — Peabody Fire Department checked the 1000 block of Vine Street for a possible carbon monoxide leak, but reported their gas monitor was not functioning properly.
5:05 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance transported a patient from Parkside Homes assisted living to Hillsboro Community.
Dec. 25
8:35 a.m. — Hillsboro ambulance transported a female patient in her 80s with nausea and vomiting from Parkside to Hillsboro Community.
9:55 p.m. — Marion ambulance was summoned to the 200 block of South Thorp Street for a female patient in her 80s not feeling well but did not transport the patient.
Dec. 26
8:21 a.m. — Peabody ambulance took a female patien in her 80s who had fallen from the 400 block of North Locust Street to Newton Medical Center.
10:29 a.m. — Florence ambulance was dispatched to Morning Star Ranch for a male in his 20s who cut his fingers with a table saw but did not transport a patient.
7:14 p.m. — Marion ambulance responded to the 100 block of North Freeborn Street for a domestic disturbance. A female requested that her husband be transported to St. Luke Hospital.
