Elmer K. Friesen, 84, died Aug. 5 at Parkside Home in Hillsboro.

He worked in management for Cooperative Grain & Supply for 40 years.

He was born Oct. 8, 1926, to Harry and Helen (Klassen) Friesen in Garden City.

He married Leona Cordts on June 18, 1948, in Buhler. They were members of Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church.

He is survived by his wife; four sons, Dennis and Steve of rural Hillsboro, Merle of Hillsboro, and Randy of Bradenton, Fla.; a daughter, Kim of Hillsboro; a sister, Gladys Buller of Hillsboro; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation with the family was 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

Services were Tuesday at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church in Hillsboro. Burial was at Gnadenau Cemetery, rural Hillsboro.

Memorial funds have been established with Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church and Hillsboro Senior Center.
