Elaine Jantzen

A come-and-go funeral service for Elaine Jantzen, 91, who died March 31, will be noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at First Mennonite Church in Hillsboro.

She was born Aug. 31, 1928, in Moundridge, the daughter of Paul and Lydia (Kaufman) Goering.

She married Paul Jantzen in 1951. They moved to Radium in 1953 and to Hillsboro in 1958. He preceded her in death.

Elaine was a stay-at-home mom and community volunteer.

She is survived by daughters Lisa Donahue of Lincolnville and Kristine Meyerson; four grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and brother Verne Goering.

Her brother, Lowell Goering, preceded her in death.

Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Haven of Rest cemetery, rural Hillsboro.

Memorials have been established with Kansas Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution and Hillsboro Public Library.
