Edna Josephine (Utech) Mueller, age 94, of Tampa died Feb. 18, 2012, after a brief stay at St. Luke Living Center in Marion. She was born Sept. 19, 1917, at Tampa, Kan., the daughter of William and Marie Schlesener Utech.

Edna was a homemaker and farmer and lived in the Tampa community all of her life and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold, in 1998; a son, Jerald, and daughter in law, Maxine; two brothers, Erich and Fred; three sisters, Esther Cole, Judy Carstens, and Marie Hill.

Edna is survived by two grandchildren, Greg Mueller and wife Katherine of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Stacy Hollingsworth and husband James of The Woodlands, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Keleigh and Garrett Mueller; two brothers, Bill Utech and wife Carol and Junior Utech and wife Elizabeth, both of Topeka; three sisters, Erna Peterson of Osage City, Kan.; Dolores Siggs of Goddard, Kan.; and Grace Raven and husband Bill of Marietta, Ga.

The funeral service will be 10:30 Thursday at St. John’s Lutheran Church at Tampa, Kan., and the burial at North Tampa Cemetery. A memorial has been established with the church.

Friends may call today from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Zeiner Funeral Home of Marion or Thursday morning at the church.
