Runners and walkers in Hillsboro Community Hospital’s third annual Heart and Sole 5K on Oct. 7 will help raise money for two causes.

Fifty percent of proceeds will go to Colton Rempel and his fight against cancer. The remainder will go toward the hospital’s dietary and physical therapy departments.

Registration by Friday is $20 and includes a t-shirt and other donated items. After Friday, registration is $25 and does not guarantee a t-shirt.

Post-race snacks will be available, and raffle drawings will take place.
