Drug busts net 4

Four people were arrested by sheriff’s deputies over the weekend and jailed on drug charges.

Wade A. Wendt, 30, Burdick, was arrested at 2:04 a.m. Monday after he was pulled over by deputy Josh Meliza at US-50 and Remington Rd.

Meliza’s drug dog, Karma, sniffed the car.

Deputies found five small plastic bags containing methamphetamine residue and scales with residue.

Wendt was jailed on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia. He remains in jail in lieu of $5,000 bond.

At 1:47 a.m. Sunday, deputy Landis Goodman pulled over a car driven by Summerly W. Julien, 36, Douglass, at US-77 and 160th Rd.

Meliza had his drug dog, Karma, sniff the air. During a search of the car, a methamphetamine pipe and scales, both with residue, were discovered and seized.

Julien was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. She was released Monday on $10,000 surety bond.

A Ramona man and woman were arrested at 12:44 a.m. Friday after being pulled over for speeding at Pawnee and 360th Rds.

Deputy Aaron Slater had his drug dog, Blue, sniff the car.

A search yielded two bags of methamphetamine and a handgun, undersheriff Larry Starkey said.

Jason D. Bass, 43, Ramona, was arrested on suspicion of distribution of methamphetamine, having no drug tax stamp, speeding, and driving while his license was suspended. He remains jailed in lieu of $5,000 surety bond.

Amanda M. Radke, 41, a passenger in Bass’s car, was arrested on suspicion of distribution of methamphetamine, criminal use of a firearm, and having no drug tax stamp.

She was released from jail Tuesday on $15,000 surety bond.
