Former public school cook Dorothy J. Foth, 89, died July 18 in Halstead.

Services were Monday at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church, with interment at Hillsboro M.B. Cemetery.

Born April 19, 1927, to Peter B. and Margaret (Franz) Nickel in Goessel, she married Harvey W. Foth Nov. 20, 1945, in rural Goessel. He died in 2000.

Survivors include son, Steven Foth of Newton, sister, Darlene Redinger of Halstead, five grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by daughter Diane Post and husband, Harvey.

Memorials have been established with Good Shepherd Hospice and Hillsboro M.B. Church.
