Doris Guhr

A private graveside service for homemaker Doris Eileen Guhr, 90, Hillsboro, who died June 15 at Salem Home, was Monday. Public services are planned for October.

Born Feb. 26, 1930, in Hillsboro to Daniel and Katherine (Ediger) Wiens, she married Herbert Guhr Oct. 5, 1948, in Hillsboro.

Survivors include sons Ron Guhr of Bakersfield, California, Gary Guhr of Goessel, Glenn Guhr of Tacoma, Washington, Stacey Guhr of Orlando, Florida, and Quentin Guhr of Hillsboro; daughters Barbara Wardell of West Warwick, Rhode Island, and Carol Guhr of Bakersfield, California; brother Emerson Wiens of North Newton; 10 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

Her husband Herbert Guhr, brother Don Wiens, and sister Alice Bartel preceded her in death.

A memorial has been established with Gideons International.
