Dora Unruh

Services for rural Peabody resident Dora Ruth Unruh, 90, who died Tuesday at Bethesda Home in Goessel, will be May 28.

She was born Feb. 2, 1931, in Goessel to Arnold S. and Eva (Janzen) Goertzen, graduated in 1949 from Goessel High School, and married Charles D. Unruh on Jan. 24, 1952.

She drove a bus for the Newton schools for 35 years.

Survivors include sons Lewis Unruh and Harlin Unruh, both of Peabody, and James Unruh of Clay Center, nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, sisters Elma Goertz and Mathilda Neuenschwander, and brothers Milton Goertzen and Orlando Goertzen.

Services will be 6 p.m. May 28 at Tabor Mennonite Church. Private inurnment will be at the church cemetery. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. May 27 at the church.

A memorial has been established with Mennonite Central Committee.
