Donald Alcorn

Donald L. Alcorn, age 72, retired wholesaler, died Sunday, June 15, 2014, at St. Luke Hospital in Marion. He was born July 21, 1941, at Ada, Mo. He had been a Marion resident for many years.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Masonic Lodge. On Oct. 20, 1995, he was united in marriage to Doris Johnson.

He is survived by his wife, Doris, of Marion; two stepsons, James Smith of Arkansas and Michael Smith of Denver, Colo.; two stepdaughters, Ginger Smith of Kansas City, Mo., and Bridget Williams of Marion; three brothers, Billy Alcorn of Ramona, Jerry Alcorn of Herington, Tom Richardson of Wichita, a sister Helen Swagger of Hutchinson, Kansas, two step grandchildren Sebastian Williams and Matthew Billington.

There are no scheduled services at this time. Zeiner Funeral Home of Marion is handling arrangements.
