Discover threshers and tractors in Goessel

Antique farm equipment built up to a century old will be on display and demonstrated this weekend at Threshing Days at Mennonite Heritage and Agricultural Museum in Goessel.

This year International Harvesters will be featured.

A four-on-four sand volleyball tournament will take place throughout the weekend at West Branch Park.

Friday will feature large engine start-ups from 2 to 4 p.m. and a threshing demonstration at 3 p.m. with field demonstrations following.

Saturday’s events will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a parade along Main St., threshing demonstrations and field demonstrations throughout the day, children’s activities, a pedal tractor pull at 2 p.m., and blacksmith and quilting demonstrations.

Children’s activities, large engine start-ups, a tractor pull, a sawmill, threshing, and field demonstrations will happen Sunday.

Admission will cost $5 at the gate, free for children younger than 12. Advance admission buttons good for all three days cost $4 and are available at Keith’s Foods in Hillsboro and the museum.
