Friday at 5 p.m. is the deadline for participants in the citywide garage sale to get their address, sale information, and $10 participation fee turned in at the city building. The citywide sale will take place April 27 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Hoch Publishing, which sponsors the annual event, will get sellers on a city map that will be printed in all three county papers — the Peabody Gazette-Bulletin, the Marion County Record, and the Hillsboro Star-Journal. The sale also will be advertised in the Newton Kansan and the Wichita Eagle. Forms to turn in to be included in the event are available at the city building, Peabody State Bank, Peabody Hardware and Lumber, and the Peabody Gazette-Bulletin office. Maps will be available on April 27 at downtown businesses and at the garage sales of official participants.
