Dr. Timothy Caldwell has joined the Peabody Main Street Association’s design committee.
An instrumental music program will be held Aug. 18 to celebrate the 80th birthday of Elmer “Bob” Delk.
The 56th annual Skinner family reunion was held Sunday at the senior citizens’ center in Peabody.

July 30, 1987
Jim Preheim is recovering after a serious accident, which left him with a broken ankle and broken shoulder. The injuries occurred when Mr. Preheim’s horse fell on him.
Hartman and Wanda Baker enjoyed another mystery trip recently. The Bakers traveled four days with destinations unknown in advance.
Deidra Myers returned home Saturday night after spending the past week in Peabody with her grandparents, Don and Eileen Myers, and other relatives.

July 26, 1962
C. Rodney Herbert is a candidate for bachelor’s degree at Southwestern College July 27.
The Methodist men beat Paramount, 14-3, in the Saturday night softball competition.
Dr. and Mrs. W.C. Jessen arrived home Saturday from a three week’s European trip and attendance at a meeting of the International Dental Congress at Cologne, German.

George Lyon of Sterling is here visiting his son and attending the Chautauqua.
Mrs. Theodore Heath and daughter, Harriet, visited Tuesday with Mrs. J.W. Nusbaum in Marion.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Slocombe and son left Sunday for a 2 weeks stay in Manitou, Colo.
