Martha Kurtze, mother of Robert Kurtze of Peabody, had her 96th birthday June 26. She is the oldest person at the Hillsboro Home for the Aged.

Beth Berns, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Berns, was one of 117 spring semester honor roll students at KU.

Merle Skinner is a patient at Bethel Hospital in Newton.
