J.K. Nellans who lived six miles south of Peabody, one of the pioneers in this part of Kansas, was fatally injured last Saturday when the motor car he was riding in collided with Rock Island passenger train #85. He died the next day at noon. The exact manner of the accident will probably never be known, but Mr. Nellans was deaf and may not have heard the train.

A.J. Baker is helping in the harness department of Doyle Hardware.

The Holstein Breeders of the state met yesterday at Herington and on their program was C.F. Stone of Peabody.
