Rod and Donna Hague had an open chair massage therapy class for Shirley Hull Sept. 3. Twelve guests attended. Great relaxation and fun were had by all. Snacks and refreshments were served.
The K-State game Saturday in DeKalb, Ill., was attended by Tony and Gwen Gaines. They went on to Iowa City where they enjoyed visiting with Tracy, Chris, Adam, and Grace.
Cora and John Bloomer enjoyed the fair in Hutchinson Sunday.

The Peabody Bible Church, recently organized by a group of young citizens of Peabody, has called their first pastor. This is an important landmark in the history of this new church, members feel. The new pastor is Jim Dietz.
Vandals used a large piece of equipment owned by Oursler Brothers of Peabody to cause a house to be wrecked in Wichita. The huge 80-foot trencher was parked at the site of some sewer work being done by Ourslers for the city of Wichita. Apparently someone got it started about 11 p.m. and the machine was put in gear, traveled about a block and a half, and smashed into the home of Roger Adams, 80, at 651 Callahan in southwest Wichita.
A beautiful display of hooked rugs and a discussion of the techniques involved in making them was the program given at the senior center by Virgia Jones, mother of Gary Jones. She would like to start a class.

Miss Edna Ewert returned Sunday from Oklahoma City where she attended convention sessions of the National Contesters Association, held in the Biltmore Hotel.
Don Hulsey was elected commander of Peabody American Legion Post #95 at the regular election Tuesday night at the Hut. He succeeds George Becker.
The Hotel Café has been closed the past week for redecoration and will be reopened Sunday, according to Leah Sheahan. She will operate the café as well as the hotel in the future. Mary Dyck and Mildred Rempel have been operating the establishment the past several months.

Mr. and Mrs. L.B. DeForest and daughter of Oneida, Ill., who have been visiting F.B. DeForest and family, returned Monday to their home.
Mrs. George Morgan and daughter, Marie arrived home Tuesday from an Illinois visit.
Marion and Peabody play baseball this afternoon (Thursday) after the Chautauqua program, for the championship of Marion County. This is the game of all others you ought to see. Show your appreciation of it by going.

Frank Sparks and wife of Arizona, are visiting with Mrs. S’s parents, Dr. and Mrs. Grinnell.
Mr. and Mrs. F.H. Kollock started Tuesday for New Mexico, expecting to be absent some weeks seeing the country, taking in mountains, air — and health.
