Noble M. Patton, 86, of Morganville, was killed in a wreck at the intersection of 190th and Nighthawk Rds. He was the father of Nelson Patton of Peabody.

Susie Schmidt gave a program on quilts of the Underground Railroad for the Sorosis Beta Club.

Peabody First Baptist Church will be the site for the Puppet Ministry from the First Baptist Church in Concordia at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

Mitch Moffett has taken up residence in the former Lutheran Parsonage at 213 E. Division.

Dan Reagan, 35, of Peabody was seriously injured in a wreck at the BJ Convenience Store northeast of Walton on US-50 highway.

Marcia and Bruce Sebree and family, Lora, Chris, Fred, and Kathy, were visitors last week at the homes of the Don Bloomers and the Jack Sebrees.

Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Foth are parents of a son, Brice Darren, born April 2 at St. Luke Hospital in Marion.

Ronald and Maude Gaines just celebrated their 25th anniversary.

Mother’s Club met April 13 at the home Mrs. W.E. Kiddoo. Mrs. Everett Wade and Mrs. J.O. Moffett were co-hostesses.

april 22, 1915

Keith, the 8-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Buell, underwent an operation for a severe case of appendicitis on Friday evening at Axtell Hospital in Newton.

The little son of Mr. and Mrs. Z. Maas, 2 ½ years old, was badly scalded by water from a washing machine from which the little fellow had removed the plug, letting the boiling water strike him on the leg below the left knee.

Mrs. N. Miller is recovering from neuritis of her hand and arm, which she has had for about a week.

C. B. Underwood has moved into the first house south of John Christ.

The gentlemen’s Easter social was a complete success and much enjoyed by everyone.
